A Blessing given, by Patriarch 0. N. Lindquist, upon the head of John Wm Boman, son of Hyrum W. Boman and Hannah Wilson, born April 10, 1861 at Richmond, Utah.
Brother John in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by virtue of the Holy Priesthood I Place my hand upon your head to seal such blessings as the holy priest shall indite, I seal upon you a Fathers and a Patriarch Blessing with the blessings of your father’s Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and Joseph and Ephram with all the blessings pretaining to the new and everlasting covenant, with health and strength of mind and body and the keys of wisdom and of providence, with the attributes of faith that you may grow from one degree of faith to another, from knowledge to knowledge and from power to power until you shall receive a fullness of all blessings to this end. I bless you and seal these precious gifts upon you that you may be full of faith and of the testimony of Jesus become a mighty preacher of righteousness, a leader among your brethern, have power to preside over your family in righteousness, to rebuke evil spirits and have power to raise them up by the gifts and powers of healing in the hour of sickness and when pestilence shall stack abroad in the lands then if you will listen to the still small voice and be diligent in keeping the commandments of God you shall have power to raise up your children and to heal many others, for you shall be a friend of God as he is your friend and is willing to give you every blessing that your heart could desire; in righteousness he has greatly blessed you in times gone by, and his smiles and approbation is over you this day, ‘ask and you shall receive, knock and it shall be opened to you’, the wisdom of heaven shall be distilled upon your understanding, you shall understand the signs of the coming of Messiah and help to gather Israel, build up Zion and the new Jerusalem and enjoy the revelations of the holy spirit and have communion with holy Angeles, hear the voice of the Redeemer and behold his countenance in glorious visions and be able to testify thereof and to your fellow beings, while you are yet in the flesh you shall be blessed in your home and habitations in your family, in your fields and orchards, in your flocks and herds, in your administrations among the poor, the sick and the afflicted, and be as a father to the fatherless and friend to the widow and many shall eat at your tables, be like unto your father Abraham and finally you shall associate with him and with Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven. Thou art of Ephram a lega hearer to the fullness of the holy priesthood with all its ordinances, cealings and anointings to the riches of eternity and the blessings of the earth to crowns and Kingdoms and by and by to stand as a Savior unto many of your kindred which have died without the Gospel, and to receive ordinances for some of them that have died faithfull. The Lord loves you because of your integrity and his blessings shall continue with you and yours forever more, You shall stand in your lot and place on Mount Zion in the morning of the first resurrection, become a king and a priest unto the most high God and reign in the Redeemer’s Kingdom on the earth.
These are your blessings through your faithfullness unto the end and I seal them upon you with eternal life in the name of Jesus, Amen.
